1. Information asymmetries: profiles, effects and solutions (Marco Imperio) pp. 27-34
Abstract. The paper analyzes the role of information asymmetries, focusing on their distortive effects on markets and territories, agency theory, and the related opportunism of the agent to the detriment of the principal and the firm. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between incomplete contracts and information asymmetries. The study, characterized by the lack of quantitative analysis and by multidisciplinary implications, provides insights for future research.
Keywords: information asymmetries, market failures, agency theory, contractual incompleteness.
